There were quite a few great Chinese places in my old city with huge veg menus. Don't think they were vegan. Ethiopian food also has great vegetarian selections. Indian food great for vegetarian. Vegan is more case by case. It's abysmal and the waitstaff often don't know what is actually vegan. I have gone out and been told it's vegan and then been told sorry it had milk powder in in.
