I definitely understand wanting the Switch to have it, and stuff like PS4/Xbone definitely should
The only time I never really understood the complaint was when people complained the Wii didn't have either
Why were people wanting the Wii to be a multimedia machine
Wasn't the Wii at one time the #1 most-used device for Netflix? And didn't Netflix's popularity therefore mean that Wiis playing Netflix were basically the single biggest portion of Internet traffic overall?
And I can see why too. Lots of people still didn't have HDTVs back then, and that pointer remote interface was sweet.
Yeah, which was initially baffling to me since the thing was literally limited to SD and no surround sound, but then when I thought about it, it began to make sense.
A shit ton of people bought a Wii.
A shit ton of people played all of one or two games on Wii.
A shit ton of people had to justify the purchase somehow!
Or had no interest in spending money on the 360 (or knew of its existance) for Netflix and owned a wii ---
