A mix-up last year that went viral when a grandmother, Wanda Dench from Mesa, Arizona accidentally invited the WRONG TEENAGER to dinner on Thanksgiving 2016 has now turned it into a holiday tradition where she made an OPEN INVITATION to the teen to keep coming back every year!!

She sent a text to Jamal Hinton inviting him to her house last year and when the confusion was cleared up, the then 17 y/o asked if he could still come over and she stayed true to her word and said Yes!!

They sat down for dinner after he travelled a short distance from Tempe..and now the grandmother has done it again and invited him back for 2017 Thanksgiving!!

Wanda said "It was really nice having everybody here. We got to laugh about last year and reminisce about how it all blew up on her phone and how i had to change my number. We had a good laugh and a good time"

But Jamal forgot to bring the Pumpkin Pie last year but made amends this year by bringing it this year!

He said "The world is becoming a better place than it used to be. I'm loving it. i love that you don't have ot know someone or knew their background to be nice to them".

In 2016, Wanda accidentally texted Jamal inviting him to her family traditional lunch..then 17 y/o student, Jamal replied with "still get a plate though? and she replied "Of course you can, that's what grandmas do"

He hugged Wanda as she made him her "honourary grandson"

Jamal says "I'd never seen her before and She welcomed me into her home. That shows how great of a person she is. i'm thankful for people like that. With all of the Donald Trump going on and all the racial comments going on, it's kind of good to see there's still good people out there. We don't see it as a black or white thing but as people wanting to show love for one another"

Wanda says Jamal is invited back FROM NOW ON as they hope to make it a holiday tradition..
