K means thousand. it's 4000p sort of... they round up. 3840 pixels 2160 is 4K resolution. 4K tvs can acutally display 4096 2160, but it puts a border on top and bottom.

That means it's 2160p. The K is used because they're changing standard to imply the jump is larger than it is.
