For example, I'd expect a homicide detective on an active case to conduct themselves differently than a traffic cop issuing a speeding ticket. This in my opinion. Different situations calls for different attitude/approach. I can only assume/hope social skills are part of their training. At the same time I can understand cops have their own lives and possibly families to be concern about.
