They don't care to learn it because they don't see the need when they've been doing it the same way for years with few issues. I see this attitude as an unnecessary way to handicap yourself. New technology is being developed every day for the exact purpose of making our lives easier. I look forward to the day when old people don't have this irrational fear of technology. Sure there will be issues, but nowhere near enough to swear off technology for the sake of being old fashioned. Also they're not going to ban manual driving.
