I think people who think it's overhyped probably didn't get into that mode-- because yeah if you're into that you can't get many experiences similar in video games without tanking production values a lot or veering too far into other genres or more hardcore things. Without that it's a solid RPG. It's still good, but doesn't stand out a ton on the SNES library, which has literally dozens of good RPGs, I don't think --- No problem!
