A) The one and only. (Walker)
You take a deep breath, then quickly take the first move by dashing at her and swinging your sword.

She parries it away, somehow causing the sword to vanish upon contact, then counters with a lunge.

You sidestep it and materialize another sword to swing right at her...only for it to vanish again upon hitting her. You quickly jump back before she could counter again, then start charging up an energy sphere.



It was your first day of high school, and you were stuck waiting for the ever so late teacher. You look around nervously, seeing that most people have already formed their cliques and friend groups. You're used to being alone, but it gets tiring. You look left, to the girl sitting next to you looking idly out the window. You decide to try and make her your first friend in this new environment.

Except you're kind of terrible with people and only know how social cues work in anime. You take your eraser and chuck it at her arm.

Ow! She says while rubbing the targeted area and looking at you with a frown.

You sweat even more nervously. You didn't think you'd get this far. I, uh, dropped my eraser. You put a hand behind your head. Not really. I just, um, wanted to say hi.

She keeps her frown on, then giggles a little as she chucks the eraser back at you. That's a funny way of dropping things.



You throw the sphere of energy at her with full force.

She brings her rapier back, then quickly swipes at the sphere, swatting it away and dissipating it. She then starts making a mad dash towards you, keeping her blade pointed forward.

You point your palm at her to swap her, but it doesn't do anything. You quickly take to the skies before she could close the distance.



She follows you around as you look for a spot to eat lunch. The cafeteria's no good, so you head outside.

You find a peculiar tree at the courtyard. Well, it's kind of far from everything else, but at least there's no one else here.

She sits down right under it, then smiles at you. We should give it a name!

You sit next to her and look up at the tree leaves. I'm terrible with names. I'd probably just call this Tree.

She pouts at you. That's so lame! She puts her finger on her chin. How about...Wally?

You smirk. Wally? That's your not-lame name?

She looks up to the leaves as well. Yeah! It's part Walky, and part Lily.

You blush a little and look to the side. Oh. I'm still calling it Tree. Easier that way.

She closes her eyes. Nope. We're putting the name Tree on the list. You have to call it Wally.



She follows you into the air, shooting waves of wind at you.

You try to dodge them, but one of them grazes a wing, causing it to disappear and destabilizing your flight a little. You reorient yourself then spread out your arms to send out a dozen copies at her.

She twirls around, sending a giant gust of wind which destroys all the copies surrounding her.

However, that created an opening for you. You materialize your whip and crack it at her.

And yet, her reflexes are too much. She immediately sees it coming then grabs a hold of the end of the whip, then yanks it and pulls herself towards you as the whip disappears.



She pulls herself towards you as she embraces you, sobbing on your chest.

You return her embrace and look at the faces of students going about their day, all from the shade of Wally. You think about their stories too, about whats on their minds, about if they have their share of troubles too.

Much like Lily does. You dont ask her what happened. If she wants to talk about it, she trusts you enough to do so. But right now is simply the time to be held in safety, away from the troubles.

Its the best you could do, anyway.
