Even vegans have to draw the line somewhere. They just choose to draw that line between animals and non-animals. Dogs, horses, cows, chickens, fish, lobsters, clams, lettuce, everyone has to decide for themselves where they're comfortable drawing that line. Trying to claim that eating beef and eating lobster are equally morally wrong is nonsense, though, similar to how meat-eaters try to claim that eating beef and eating vegetables are equal since they're both living things.

As for me, I don't personally like the idea of eating dogs, but if another country decides dogs are food, that is their business, not mine to complain about it.
