I haven't seen the movie yet, but is him seeing his dad in the spirit world that much different than Thor seeing Odin's ghost or Tony watching his VR parents?

This.

Or Loki finding out he's the child of an opposing faction whose father was killed by Odin in battle and taken back to asgard to be raised by said family.

Or Tony having to fight Steve.

Or Steve choosing to defend a friend who involuntarily killed another friends parents.

I mean, there are quite a few deep moments in these marvel movies.

BP is no exception.

Wasnt talking about T,Challa, I was talking about Killmonger

In relation to T,Challas vision which is a generic meet your ancestors kinda thing that took place in the serengetti where he was greeted by Kings past and present - Killmonger returns home to the apartment he knew as his world and the only man he knew to trust his father - to which the question is asked why do they (wakanda) let us suffer? He starts crying and shows us something we Almirante never see in a marvel villain -
Vulnerability

Ill be honest, Jordan as Killmonger Pushed the movie over the edge - to give a villain a backstory like that and flesh him out was awesome to see.

Stick any attractive man in the T,Challa role and itd be the same movie imo
