there's also people who you can find and send back to the cathedral ward. make sure you're knocking on the different doors and windows with the lamps burning outside of them!

talking to npcs is what i live for. i've been on top of this (i think) (also things aren't going well for most of them)

Don't have the DLC but I'll probably pick it up sooner or later. Wanted to make sure I enjoyed the game first since this is my first experience with a Souls game so I didn't know what to expect. But I'm liking this, so yeah.

Bloodborne Progress: I feel like I got quite a bit done! 3 bosses down and 2 more areas explored.

Beat Vicar Amelia when I started up, but it was a super sloppy fight. Apparently I forgot everything I learned the other day. Combination of the Fire Paper and Numbing Mist did the trick but ugh I was so bad. The cutscene after felt like it was the solution to the password locked door I found earlier and it was. But oh my god. During exploration I never got caught by that Cthulhu guy. what the hell. he took my insight too =(

So I unlocked the Forbidden Wood lamp but my RPG senses told me that with 3 different areas available, I should go to them in roughly the order I think they were easily accessible. So I went to Old Yharnam first since I ran into that area almost immediately on entering Cathedral Ward. Gatling Guns are cheap but it was kinda fun running from cover to cover. I also learned that you can jump. kinda. I've noticed for a while sometimes I'd jump and decided to work it out once I saw an item just out of my "roll off the edge" range. I haven't gone in 100% blind so I left the gatling gun guy alone for now. Found another of those rifle spear hunters but I could cheese this one by getting him to follow me down some stairs and trapping him there. And when he got out, he'd run back to let me do it again. how kind. Anyway, made it to Blood-starved Beast and I'm assuming this is considered one of the easier bosses? Because I styled all over him first time with little difficulty.

So next on my "areas I can go" list was Hemwick Lane. This felt like a short and straightforward area. Got through it quickly and again beat the Witch of Hemwick first try with pretty much no trouble. I actually spent a while fighting the mobs until I realized that they were being spawned about as fast as I could beat them, but they wouldn't even drop echoes.

oh and while talking to npcs some jerk tried to kill me. However, it taught me something from an earlier session. That thing that killed me is called Amygdala. Only this time it teleported me to a school or something. I explored it and it was even shorter and I winded up somewhere else. Only I don't think I'm in Kansas anymore. Went back to the Hunter's Dream and saw these areas correlate to a much "later" tombstone so I guess I'll come back later?
