An all time classic... that I've never actually seen in complete! So I really have to go on the word of other people when they say that. There have been bits and pieces that I caught but it was more as background noise than anything else. I used to stay up late playing games while leaving Toonami on, but my attention was always 95% on my computer and 5% on the television... if at all. It wasn't a show that ever caught my interest enough to make me feel compelled to watch it.

In recent years I've thought about trying to either watch the new movies or watch the original series but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Basically a show that is on my radar but it's not one that I can say much about. Which is a shame. I think good or bad this is the type of series I would probably have a lot to say about if I had seen it.

A very good show! This is something I had heard a lot about long before I ever got around to watching it. One of those famous types of series where its reputation often precedes it. I can't remember what my expectations were going in, but I do remember enjoying it quite a bit.

There were some parts where I remember not liking the art design very much, but I wouldn't say that is any more than a minor nitpick and it was on a scene basis. Not anything that would have impacted entire episodes or even multiple concurrent scenes. Since it has been a while I would probably struggle to think of concrete examples.

The humor of this show is really enjoyable to me. I loved the awkwardness of the main character and how things would turn poorly. Usually in cases where she deserved it or set herself up for failure, but not always. Sometimes life was just cruel for no reason. I usually refer to this as Looney Tunes style humor and I don't mean that in a bad way when I say it. It's a classic formula for flawed characters to come up with some contrived plan and then the audience gets to laugh as we watch it blow up in their face.

I remember the series having a few briefly sweet moments, but those were relatively sparse. It's not the kind of thing I would have asked for and likely not any scene that stood out to me as being amazing anyway. I may just be imagining them. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Ultimately I felt like the humor carried the series to a positive score but it lacked diversity and a forward moving plot that would be needed for me to consider it truly great. There are only a handful of comedies that I've scored above 8/10 and it's usually a result of having additional depth beyond the comedy or being so outrageously funny that they're able to break this barrier. More on those later. If they're nominated at all.
