It seems as though there's a slight preference for the auto-include side bracket. I said I'd leave it to a vote, and with over 30 responses received, I find it unlikely that's going to flip.

So here's how we'll do this. Post your top 3 choices for inclusion in the side bracket. Your first choice WILL be used. Depending on participation levels, your second might be, and there's a minor chance we might even get to a third.

Please format your post (in order of preference) as:

This format will make it easiest for me to compile the song selections into a spreadsheet with just copy-paste and one find-replace to switch the pipes for tabs.

Answers to presumed FAQs:
* You do not need to nominate a track that was one of your supports for VGMC.
* You do not need to nominate three songs, but I would prefer you make your nominations at once rather than over three posts.
* If you see someone's #3 that you like, and consider it unlikely to get in, then re-nominate it yourself.
* I will accept almost all songs, as long as they appear in a video game. We will take a very wide arc with this tolerance. Pretty much anything short of nominating Rock Band tracks goes.
* People just walking into this topic may nominate. I might limit you to just one choice, however.
* When deciding the final tracks to include, preference will be given to users who had fewer (out of 20) nominations make the field. (Expect me to fudge this a little.)
* If, by some chance, I do consider your song pick ineligible, I'll simply go to your next choice. (Expect me to fudge this, too.)
* Please give me a good link. I'm not hunting. No extended links unless absolutely necessary.
* The bracket will be 64 songs.
* The field will be completely randomized, because I ain't listening through all this to make an intelligent bracket.
* You have roughly 72 hours from this post (i.e. until I get up on Monday morning) to make your nominations.
* If you decide you want to change your nominations, please indicate that clearly with a repost of your nominations. Please don't do this more than once.
* Because this is essentially the spiritual successor to the "ALQVGMCST", I'll be including the three songs listed above unless I receive, like, exactly 32 sets of nominations.

The side bracket is, in my opinion, to pick things that you want people to listen to or are fun songs. The goal is not to pick tracks because they will win. Yes, if you nominate Scars of Time, I'll bite my tongue and accept it (hey, I did say I'd accept basically anything right?) but I don't really consider it in the spirit of the side bracket.

And above all else, remember the #1 rule of VGMC: don't be a jerk.
