| LeonhartFour 03/17/18 1:55:15 AM #276: | oh hey it's time for a random Hyouka update! I finally finished the fourth book, which I liked a lot. It was all still stuff that the anime adapted, but the Valentine's Day episode and "The Doll that Took a Detour" were both really good episodes in the anime because they gave you some insight and character development for Satoshi and Chitanda. In particular, I like the latter story because Chitanda is largely a static character up to this point, but you get to see the "formal" and "proper" side to her here, as well as her giving her speech at the end about what it means to her to be the heir of the Chitanda family. The anime adaptation was pretty faithful here. The anime added a lot of shipteasing between Hotaro and Chitanda throughout the show that wasn't in the books, but all the shipteasing stuff that was in the anime in that last episode was here in the story this time, too. So starting with book 5, we're entering into all new territory, so I'm pretty excited to see what happens! --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
