Siding with David is still the only decision in the game I've never stuck with in any of my playthroughs (and my yearly replays are always 100% pro-Chloe at this point so I probably never will).

well i mean i feel like **** about it, moreso as i've talked about it here. but i know i'd feel like **** if i went the other way too

Anyway, what did you think of the pool scene? It's some good uncontroversial Chloe time, just two best friends hanging out. I've always liked it. The pool setting at night seems so dreamlike. How do you not want to kiss Chloe after that and the chat after waking up next to her wtf

It was okay.

And again, that is not what Chloe needs IMO. I mean, first off, given my other choices to that point and how Chloe has reacted it just seems out of place. Had Max been siding with her all along, sure. But also, I read it as Chloe just trying to fill the hole she feels from her abandonment issues in a shallow way. I've been having Max act with the intention of trying to work Chloe through her issues but it's not something they're going to just solve in a conversation. Or a day. Or a week. Basically, I don't think Chloe's mind is in the right place yet for that to be meaningful. Max going along with it wouldn't be helping. At best it'd be setting up a dependency... or a co-dependency.

And the post-RV scene with Chloe lashing out might have been a decent place for her being able to finally take some good steps towards grappling with the issues she has! I liked it too!

but that's on hold now because we're in Earth-2 now.
