I mean, the story is simple enough on the whole, as it's just a bunch of people being haunted by a monster that is actually just their past fears and regrets, but I don't understand a lot of the decisions that came from the writing and directing. It attempts to create an ensemble cast, but most of the characters are pretty pointless. You get some episodes where everyone will just ramble on about jack shit for half the episode. There are a ton of awful animation cuts. Some episodes end out of nowhere. The CG monster near the end is one of the few things I've seen to actually cause me to laugh out loud unintentionally. And in the end, nearly all of the characters are left with no resolution, seemingly through their own decision. I just don't get this show. It was entertaining to watch though. I wouldn't dare to put it on the level of "So bad it's good", but it was a lot like watching a car crash.
