I don't put beans in my chili, because I don't like the texture of it. I modified a recipe to make it more to my taste. I make it with a mix of ground beef and ground pork, onions, garlic, canned tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeos, just a tiny bit of dark chocolate (making it a mole chili, I guess) and a bunch of spices and herbs like cumin, cilantro, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper and chili powder, to only name a few. Also, I love to serve it with a spoonful of sour cream! And with some cornbread!
