I think what's lost in all this is that Corrik still hasn't really given a defense for what Bolton wants
Bolton doesn't want to just do what is needed to "protect" US citizens
He specifically wants talks with North Korea to fail so that we can go to war. He doesn't want any kind of peaceful agreement. He wants to bomb them, period.
I do not know what Bolton wants. I know he wanted to go to war with Iran in the past for their nuclear program, and he wanted to go to war with North Korea over there's. I do not know of any statements of him girding for war currently or what his thoughts are on it currently.
Like I told you at either the beginning of this topic or the last one, it seems Trump is replacing cabinet members with a lot of NeoCons. That spells a willingness to go to war. I was a fan of Bush, and his administration. They were NeoCons also.
Bolton wants regime change, pretty much. He doesn't seem to want to accept any kind of negotiations.
I think with Bolton you need to look moreso to Iran where we are almost undoubtedly ending the Iran deal. ---
