The cards from the new set will be in standard until the first expansion of 2020, which will likely be in April if they keep up the same schedule. April/August/December, usually about a third of the way into the month. Old Gods, Karazhan and Gadgetzan rotate this April, Ungoro, Frozen Throne and Kobolds next April. I don't pre-order, I'm strictly free to play. Shortly after an expansion hits I stop buying packs and just save all of my gold up, then I can usually buy 50-60 packs when the next one releases. I've spent $0 and have played since the first day of the open beta, so a little over four years ago. I did stop for a while, I think it was 4-6 months or so, around the time of the Grand Tournament expansion, so I have very few cards from that set. --- When someone is giving you his opinion, you should receive it with deep gratitude even though it is worthless.
