Even leading up to the Shamanstone meta it took about 3 straight expansions of Shaman getting staples as it slowly became a good deck. Camden since you mention Valanyr, I'd reccomend Tarim if you don't have him. After playing with it, that card is nuts and probably just goes into every Paladin deck forever.
