It's a team sport, you're supposed to be a team. You do stuff as a unit. If you have most of a team working together and a few players protesting, then you're dysfunctional. Anyone here watch Rugby? Well I dobut it, but trust me when I tell you. Before International Games the players line up arm in arm and sing their respective national anthem really really badly. Because they're all big stupid meathead athletes who can't (and don't want) to sing. But they still do it because they're a team. If one player went "I'm not going to stand hand in hand and sing, I'm going to do jumping jacks while shouting Everybody Dance Now over and over!" than that guy is never ever ever going to play, even if he was the greatest player in the world.
