Government's considering introducing state-subsidised private security for villages because the police force is not large enough to secure them all. There were some terrorist acts by muslims in the 80s, but fortunately nothing like that since then. Currently, the situation is stable, but that could change fast if EU decide to locate migrants currently restrained in Turkey here after Erdogan inevitably sets them loose. The people's heart is in the right place and there would certainly be vigourous resistance to any such plans, if they ever tried to implement them. But it's hard to say if it would be enough. Recently, certain elements in the ruling party worry me with actions showing that they would be willing to serve the EU even by doing things that clearly mean they would never get elected again.
