Berseria made it clear the franchise still has the ability to be a high quality product after the mess that was Zesteria, but their lack of faith in it gave it a weak push and subpar budget. With Baba finally out of the picture, fans are really hoping for a game with the quality of Berseria and the push and budget of Zesteria. Asteria and Rays are actually doing fine in Japan. Both have been doing significantly better than Link, so they're still up and running over there. I guess Rays was actually too F2P friendly, so it didn't generate much money for an already fairly niche franchise, and with Link shutting down not giving a good outlook on things, Namco might have just decided to pull the plug early on the Global version.
