I actually feel kinda bad for Kudo in hindsight (especially when he asks "Have I been any use at all?" at the end) because he didn't actually make any mistakes except for one thing, but it was really smart of the game to have him make a legitimate mistake with the vase to condition you into thinking his memory was screwed up instead of it being a fake poisoning set up by Tigre. It's also very fitting that the vase thing is the only part of Kudo's testimony that he'll admit he was wrong about (complete with a written apology, no less!) and steadfastly sticks to everything else he said. Also, I've often wanted to count cups of coffee for Godot in a trial day to see if he ever actually goes over 17 just to see how much attention to detail there is with that gimmick, but he does mention being on his sixteenth cup before the penultimate testimony. He doesn't drink any during the cross-examination, but he chugs and then spit-takes from his 17th cup after you point out the contradiction. He doesn't drink any more coffee after that.
