i grew up in canada but my childhood was also full of doraemon and crayon shin-chan, which were rented from the chinese video store. i think i preferred the doraemon movies to the tv series, but i also had more of it available to me. my favourites were the one with the mech, and the one with the animal planet iirc.

DBZ was interesting because i watched different bits in either cantonese or english, and i identify the characters equally with both voices.

also, as i'm watching it for the first time rn, i'll nominate Outlaw Star
