It's illegal in many states to live in storage lockers.
The rules are simple and easy to follow, if you don't try to break them, you are not doing anything illegal. If you try and stay over night etc, that is illegal, if you just take a "nap" during the day? Nothing wrong with that.
I lived on rooftops when I was 16 and used a storage locker that way. I didn't sleep in it much since I was in CA and I prefered sleeping on rooftops, but I could have. I did have electricity in my locker, all my clothes, and I kept extra library books there etc.
I'm not saying everyone can/should do it, but it's certainly possible.
