It's... not a popular market, and oddly enough a lot of lower income people live in them. There's even a negative stereotype but It's cheaper than a condo (double that price ~$200k) or a house ($400k+) unless you want to live 2 hours from civilization.

There is a huge housing bubble in MA right now. Lots of Chinese companies buying up units and price speculating with them.


jesus when I worked construction I worked on 300-400k dollar houses and they where considered at the very least upper middle class, despite being in a neighborhood for rich retired people (some houses where in the million dollar range)
