It's just so easy for these cards to make up for excess lands. Your deck also sounds insane incidentally. Also Mending of Dominaria. Card advantage engines are another good reason to play excess lands. If you expect to be drawing 5 more cards than your opponent over a game, it doesn't matter if you draw three more lands than them. --- Just killing time until the world ends. ...
