I actually haven't seen the 2011 version, I watched the original and then picked up the manga when all the OVA's were done. (and then dropped the manga in the current arc cuz it sucks now) But this was the first opening for the original, and I LOVED it. I really felt like it fit the arc and Gon's attitude in general and just always left me feeling good.
