Nah, not really. I actually just finished gathering up all the spheres. The spawn rate for them is pretty abysmal, just keep at it. If you get sick of actually doing runs you can just holy bottle + book of swiftness it up and run through/reload if you don't get anything. That's what I did around my 7th battle with Cedric 2.0 >_>
