It's a PW game so people will be talking about PW stuff, particularly if part of the flavor includes stuff from the later games. I would be too afraid of spoilers to play. I might be in the game and I have never played a single Phoenix Wright game. So there is one less player you have to worry about metaing stuff. Why are me and Corrik the only ones that want you to play? Are the games I have played with not as fun as I remember? --- Mind post.
