I kinda thought you'd be a little more disappointed by the info dump right before the final battle. iirc CC is one of those PS1 RPGs that ran out of time and budget, resulting in a few major plotlines that had to be cut and wrapped up in text-dump fashion. ill take info dumps than unfinished game like what we have these days. and i didnt remember these "info dump" part on Chrono Cross, unlike Xenogears which was pretty clear. I certainly won't argue that something's better than nothing. And the text dump is all the information Crono, Lucca, and Marle's ghosts give you on the beach right before facing the Time Devourer. The biggest thing revealed there is the fact that Lynx was Serge's long-lost father, something that was clearly intended to be revealed during the normal course of gameplay.
