If Tanahashi is the ace of New Japan (and go ace), Marufuji is the ace of NOAH. Everytime I watch a match of his, Im amazed by his innovative offense and his athletic ability. His kicks are amazing, his chops are wicked, his knees are brutal, and his hair is amazing. I really want to focus on his kicks though; I don't think anyone else in wrestling history can make a kick look so effortless and yet so deadly at the same time. It's why I jokingly refer to his kicks as "Casual Kicks". He looks like he's barely even trying with them, and yet they are graceful and impressive. It's such a Japan way of wrestling. Like brutal beatdown ballet. Honestly, I need to spend more time watching Marufuji. I tend to love what I see of him, but my exposure is pretty limited.
