She gets the Men in Black treatment so she remembers something else weird for that whole time frame. We meet a bunch of minor characters and get in a fight with one, while Rukia spends the whole scene trying to figure out how juice boxes work. Oh also there's a super strong and tough dude named Chad who saved the life of a talking bird. The bird is harmless for now, but Chad shows up at the clinic with Hollow-lookin' wounds. My rating: 8/10 Like I said, it's not my first choice of setting, but it hooked me pretty well all the same. I like the art and the characters, and there's more comedy than I remember (although it IS the first volume so that'll probably change) --- Look at all those chickens There's a hunger in the land, there's a reckoning still to be reckoned ...
