Hello, folks, and welcome to tonight's game. I'm going to do things a little bit differently tonight, as I've hinted. So even though the basic structure of the game will remain the same -- I play a song, you guess the game and the title for points -- we're going to add a new wrinkle.

This is a survival ladder. (Credit to rwlh for the general idea)

I'm going to start off with some really easy songs. Songs you should know. Songs that mostly any B8 regular should be able to pick off. And then they're going to gradually get harder and more obscure. The game ends when the entire group fails to score on a song.

So if nobody even gets half a point on a given song, that's it. You've lost. Therefore, not only are you competing amongst yourselves for score, but you're also competing as a team against me.

I've prepared a list of 100 songs. I'm predicting you guys crash and burn somewhere about 70. Truthfully, I'd expect you wouldn't get that far because there'd be some one song that would trip you up, but fortunately for you, I'm offering extra lives whenever you get to an intermission. So every 15 songs, you'll get a 1-up. Given the difficulty at the end, I anticipate even with the extra lives, you still won't make it. But at least you'll get a little closer.

This game has the potential to take a long time, with up to 100 songs, I will be skipping frequently. I don't recommend alt-tabbing in the middle, except on the designated intermissions.

Also, regarding song selection, many of the tracks used have been in previous games. I don't care. This list was crafted very deliberately, and I didn't want to give challenging "easy" tracks to begin just because I had to hunt for stuff that hasn't been done. In fact, I think there may have been a themed list that might have doubled up on quite a few of these, but I'm too lazy to check.

So we'll be getting started in just a few.

Oh, and because this isn't the normal game, and scoring's going to be protracted, I'm probably going to amp up the points as we go. There are six tiers in the playlist. Starting with tier 3, I'll raise the score from 2 points (1 and 1) to 3 points (1.5 and 1.5), and then again to 4 points (2 and 2) at tier 5. There are no official insane tracks, but it will get insane enough by list's end, don't worry.
