Eagles get on stage and play Eagles music for a couple hours. This has me thinking about BTS. When I see them doing their performances at the Billboard awards, I can't really tell if they have a concept. But you're definitely right that it's hard to completely get rid of the concept idea in a K-pop group. I think the girl groups would probably get tied to concepts a lot easier than the guy groups too. I wouldn't know for sure because I'm not too knowledgeable, but I would imagine the costumes the girls wear and the cute/sexy stuff automatically make it easy to classify any release. --- Got a brand new blues that I can't explain ...
