There's three new live versions of "Penguin in Bondage" on The Roxy Performances. The 12/9, first show version already appeared on Roxy by Proxy, the 12/8 version partially appeared on Roxy & Elsewhere (this version), the 12/10, first show version partially appeared in Roxy the Movie, and the 12/10, second show version partially appeared on Roxy & Elsewhere (this version) and in Roxy the Movie.

I've talked before about how this particular version is constructed, but now I'll do so again. 0:00-1:24 (Frank's intro) was taken from the first show from 12/10. On The Roxy Performances this intro appears as a separate track called "Bondage Intro." Frank edited out several parts of this intro. 1:25-2:19 was taken from an entirely different tour than the Roxy tour (the third '73 tour), namely the second '74 tour. It was taken from the 5/11/'74 show. Note that the full version of "Penguin in Bondage" from this show appears on the digital download Penguin in Bondage/The Little Known History of The Mothers of Invention (oddly enough this release isn't listed on the Frank Zappa discography page on Wikipedia, but I digress). 2:19-2:48 was taken from the second show on 12/10. For 2:48-3:09 we cut back to the 5/11/'74 show. 3:09-5:11 (Frank's guitar solo) was taken from the 12/8 show. The rest is from the 5/11/'74 show.
