Topic	Why is it expected in society that we praise someone who has or is having a kid?

I also know some people who like to combine parties. Like housewarming + Baby Shower. Or new job + birthday. Stuff like that. But it is a new chapter in their life... Not to mention it's a new life. You're supporting the family with starting the next generation. Note you don't normally have baby showers for anything after the first baby' and you also don't normally go to a shower unless you know the family. Work parties are whatever.
