Yep. So based on what you do, you increase odds for what you want.

2 Stars actually aren't bad, and some of them can even stand up some of the 5 Stars. You'll also need those two stars for how leveling works. Leveling doesn't actually up your stats. It ups the cap for the stat. So you'll need 2 Stars for enhancing. By dumping a bunch of 2 Star units into your gun, it ups all it's stats. Also, don't use 3 Stars or Higher in enhancing. They'll give you cores if you disassemble.
