There are a few companies that I don't buy from because of poor quality in things I bought from them before (such as Seagate). There are also some companies I don't like but their products/prices don't appeal to me anyway (such as Apple).

The only company that has products I'd otherwise enjoy if I wasn't boycotting them is Sony. I boycotted them because my mom bought me a PS1 when I was a kid and it had problems that, though it was covered by the warranty, Sony didn't want to fix. Long story short, my mom even tried paying for service, and Sony just took part of the money and said "nah." I don't buy things from companies with awful customer service. That was until I gave them a chance 20 years later in 2017. Now, they are locking out third party accounts from playing on other systems, and I just can't stand seeing them be anti-consumer like that. I've stopped buying PS3 games. A friend of mine is taking it a step further and not even playing on any Sony console - I've only stopped participating in the new and used game markets for Sony consoles.

I also boycott individual locations of some businesses due to poor customer service. I boycott some local restaurants if I see poor customer service or cleanliness as well - a good example is when I was at a buffet and ants were walking around the food and they shrugged when I brought it up to them, but still expected a big tip. It's been over a decade and I haven't gone back. I also boycotted EA at one point due to employee treatment. I'm considering boycotting Amazon for the same reason.

Are you boycotting any companies?
