Yeah, I'm through 10 episodes of S1 and I've noticed this too. It's pretty incredible how these little contained storylines with throwaway characters end up being so engaging and entertaining. To think I was worried about this being an awkward power fantasy for a hot minute. Overlord is 100% a show that has exploded past the trappings of it's fad genre origins.
