I meant that the task of a jury in the US, is part of the judge's job here. A person who has at least been studying for and has 10 years of experience in the field of law trials, before even being allowed to make their first legal verdict.


1) Trial by judge *is* an option, should the defendant want it.

2) The whole reason for trial by jury is because of a long history of biased and outright corrupt judges. Trial by jury is a far fairer system and less prone to shenanigans.
