It just nails it so good, right on down to much of the tradition aspect of baptism and Confederacy being nudge winky performance art to mask other motives. I do think that part gets lost. Its not that they arent racist - because they are. Its just not ALL they are and the extent is blustery to hide that what they really are is criminals and con men. And the only reason theyre that is because fucking rural Kentucky. But none of that excuses their behavior. Because shit, look at Raylan.
