Anyone else notice a flood of pro-Russia propaganda the last few days? My aunt was posting some meme of how Putin shouldn't be considered a villain because he, "ran the Rothschilds out of Russia and banned GMOs" or some other thinly veiled conspiracy theory nonsense.

Normally I don't say anything, but it's getting telemarketer levels of annoying and I feel like they just exploit the fact that no one ever calls people out on spreading that shit for fear of being labelled impolite.

Do you use Reddit or Twitter? Whenever the president does anything even remotely controversial the propaganda starts flooding in. Its worse when even his own base is questioning, i.e. the initial reaction to net neutrality before they ate up the lies about how its bad for competition or some bullshit like that.

Now, its even more noticeable because you have people calling Helinski treasonous, Trump is walking his statements back and forth, and even Republicans in Congress are denouncing what happened when theyre usually deeply disturbed at best when he does something fucked up. So yes its expected that the Russian propaganda mechanism is in overdrive right now.

Yeah, I understand why it happened, I just wanted to know if anyone else had noticed.

And honestly, it's been a steady stream political gaffes so I'm surprised it's not in overdrive 24/7.
