My ideal would be Bernie but that's farfetched for most people. I don't think any of those people will be the candidate.

Last time around barely anyone knew who he was, by the end of the race his popularity exploded. If he runs again I don't think there's anything the DNC can do to keep him from winning.

I don't think the most popular politician in the US is going to lose to the least popular president in US history, despite how a lot of these people will deny the statistics.

If he runs, he might be old, but he can still pick a trustworthy VP.

If Bernie runs next time, he's going to have it a helluva lot harder. Last time, he justified his deathbed conversion to the Democrats by claiming that he'd always caucused with them, etc -- instead of saying what he really meant, that he chose a party because he knew it'd give him a better shot at the presidency and he didn't give a fuck about the Democrats (which is why the leadership was entirely in the right to go out of their way to block him) -- but what's he going to do now? He quit the Democrats after losing and, once again, is an independent. The guy is a fucking snake and an opportunist, pure and simple. (And that's overlooking the fact that, despite working in politics nearly all his life, his knowledge was on par with Ben Carson's when it came to a lot of subjects including foreign policy.)

More so, a lot of the momentum he had the first time around will be gone and, as everybody notes, he'll be even older.

Out of them, only Elizabeth Warren seems plausible. Goofy Elizabeth Warren has been growing in profile and can tap into the same base as Bernie while being less likely to alienate moderates. Biden, while an otherwise strong candidate, is hitting age issues although he would benefit from tapping into Obama nostalgia.
