Firstly, if you're first generation English then you were the first of your mother's side to be born in England so blood isn't really there if that's what you actually meant.

Secondly, I am English and live in England, it is the culture, none of these people bat an eyelash at this. It's not "poor upbringing", it's part of the many nuances of being part of a social culture developed over thousands of years.

Nah. My Mom was born in England so was her entire family. My Father was the first of his family to be born outside of Ireland.

And having visited multiple times throughout the years to both countries, you're full of horse manure. You are clearly rude, entitled, and immature. Please don't slander two countries because you don't know how to properly behave in public.
