| WiggumFan267 07/21/18 4:48:55 PM #487: | It's official. Familia to the A's for 2 prospects and slot money. Familia has been here so long. He was truly a dominant closer. He had his share of bad moments, as any closer does, but it was far outweighed by his great ones. Loved watching his pitches move, he was unhittable at his best. He was easily the Mets 2015 MVP. No chance they're a playoff team, or go as far in the playoffs as they did without him. He gave us a completely dominant 2015 NLDS and NLCS - completely unhittable in those games. The 6 out save in the NLDS vs the Dodgers was the greatest moment a Mets reliever has had since the 1986 World Series. And of course, the NL Pennant clinching moment in Game 4 vs the Cubs in the NLCS. Some Mets fans didn't like him, and unfairly so- of all the people I'd blame for the Mets losing the 2015 WS, Familia is absolutely last on the list , those games were not his fault (Save Game 1 but sh). But I believe many more will remember him fondly, or at least I hope.
