The one thing about Netflix shows is they know when to stop, and the thing about Simpsons and Family Guy is they don't. Plus with Netflix you inherently aren't "filling a time slot", you are making a season every year or two and if people like it and want more, you make another (if you have story to tell). If not, then you have tons of other shows to watch (both original or just available). Both Simpsons and Family Guy just feel like they have been going on for as long as they have because Fox needs something on Sunday night and they were popular 10 - 20 years ago. --- I am a senior software engineer.
