Anyone who praises the requirement for people to have car insurance is essentially just praising a tax on poor people. Actually, no. You're praising the idea of making someone totally helpless and possibly giving them jail-time due to the fact that they're poor.

Americans, man. We're fucking dumb; we cry about injustices against people, then praise injustices when they benefit us. Yay!

That's not really the issue, the issue is insurance companies taking advantage of the mandatory nature to charge vast profit margins (or just plain old price people off the road).
