I can see that interpretation from how they had same-sex relationships during school but were expected to grow out of it and marry someone of the opposite sex as adults, but I'm not sure if being anti-gay was the intention. They talked a lot about forming a society of love like bonobos, so it's easy to imagine that everyone is bisexual. Setting up romantic expectations like this gives them a sexual outlet that won't risk (incredibly dangerous) children as teens while still leaving room for actual, state-approved children once they're adults. To me it was just another reflection of the shitty decisions they had to make to keep their society safe but yeah, I won't argue too hard if someone wants to view it as anti-gay even if I don't fully agree. ---
